  18.    COMPUTER FOR DEVELOPMENT OF 32-BIT SCSI SUPPORT FOR NEXTSTEP

  20. SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 10, 1994 -- BusLogic, a leading supplier
  21. of high performance SCSI, IDE and RAID I/O solutions, today announced
  22. a strategic partnership with Next Computer, Inc. in support of NeXT's
  23. NEXTSTEP operating environment.  Specifically, BusLogic and NeXT have
  24. developed a 32-bit device driver which makes BusLogic's SCSI host
  25. adapters compatible with the NEXTSTEP object-oriented software, which
  26. has been designed for the development of custom, enterprise-wide,
  27. client/server applications.

  29.          The new device driver utilizes the BusLogic 32-bit extended
  30. mode, enabling data to be transmitted with greater efficiency for
  31. optimum performance.  The BusLogic driver will be available through
  32. NeXT's future release of NEXTSTEP version 3.3, and also via NeXT's
  33. various bulletin boards and support systems.

  35.          BusLogic has worked closely with NeXT to ensure that BusLogic's
  36. entire family of SCSI host adapters are compatible with the NEXTSTEP
  37. operating environment.  In addition to the NEXTSTEP OS, BusLogic
  38. supplies device drivers for all major operating systems including
  39. DOS/Windows, NetWare, Windows NT, SCO UNIX, OS/2, Solaris, Interactive
  40. UNIX, UnixWare, and many others.  BusLogic drivers are also embedded
  41. in leading operating systems such as NetWare 3.12 and 4.x, Windows NT
  42. and Solaris.
